Itinerary

Day 1:

Our professional safari driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Nairobi and bring you to your safari briefing.  After this short introduction you will be on your way. From Nairobi you will enjoy a scenic drive providing breathtaking views of the Kenyan landscape. Along the way you will stop for lunch in the town of Emali.

In the afternoon you will arrive at your accommodations where you will have time to rest before heading out for an evening game drive in Amboseli National Park. Set in rolling savannah scenery, the park is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. At 5,896 meters, it is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Evening is a great time to spot these animals as they are out eating their diner before it gets dark and they retreat to the safety of their habitat. [Optional: Visit the Masai Village where you can discover the tribal culture and interact with local people. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.]

After the drive you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African dinner. After dinner there will be a bonfire where you can meet other travelers and swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Day 2:

After breakfast you will head out for a full day safari game drive. Amboseli in Masai language means “place of water”. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Vast herds of elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopards are sure to be seen.

During the drive, your guide will introduce you to the lifestyle and behaviors of each animal you see and answer any questions you have. This park offers designated areas where you will be able to enjoy a picnic lunch right out in the open. After lunch it is time to continue with the safari game drive.

After the drive you will return to your accommodation for a well-earned rest before enjoying another an authentic African dinner. After dinner there will be a bonfire where you can meet other travelers and swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

This make for gorgeous photographs and videos.
