Itinerary
Day 1:
Our professional safari driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Nairobi and bring you to your safari briefing. After this short introduction you will be on your way. From Nairobi you will enjoy a scenic drive through volcanic mountains and lakes providing breathtaking views of the Kenyan landscape. Along the way you will stop at The Great Rift Valley for photographs and then on to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Upon arrival you have two options (both included) for lunch. You can have a hot lunch at your accommodation or a picnic lunch at Baboon Cliff overlooking the lake. After lunch you will head out for your first game drive. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos gathering on the lake shore. In addition, the lake is a central watering spot for more than 50 types of mammals.
After the drive you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African dinner. After dinner you will have time to relax. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.
Day 2:
Today you will begin early. After a full breakfast, it is off for a morning safari game drive in Hell’s Gate National Park. [Optional: Boat ride to Crescent Island on Lake Naivasha and viewing of the hippopotamus.] Aside from all the wildlife, Hell’s Gate National Park is famous for its natural geysers, star rock towers and a geothermal steam that make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.
During the drive, your guide will introduce you to the lifestyle and behaviors of each animal you see and answer any questions you have. [Optional: This is the only park where you can walk (free) or rent a bicycle to ride as you view animals.]
On the drive back to Nairobi you will stop at the town of Mai Mahiu for lunch. Our driver will deliver you back to the airport or your hotel where you can say your goodbyes.
