Itinerary
Day 1:
Our professional safari driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and bring you to your safari briefing. After this short introduction you will be on your way. From Arusha you will enjoy a scenic drive through volcanic mountains providing breathtaking views of the Tanzanian landscape. Along the way you will stop for scenic views and photographs of the crater and then on to a picnic lunch at the bottom of the crater.
After lunch it is time for a safari game drive. Ngorongoro Crater’s spectacular setting and abundance of wildlife combine to make it a wonder of the natural world. Animals are free to leave or enter the crater but most of them stay because of the plentiful water and food available on the crater floor throughout the year. With 600-meter-high walls and a rich volcanic floor that plays host to the big five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino -, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations.
After the drive you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African dinner. After dinner there will be a bonfire where you meet other travelers and swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.
Day 2:
Today you will begin early. After a full breakfast, it is off for a morning safari game drive. All the animals are out in the morning, searching for breakfast, so it is the perfect time for your drive. The abundance of animals at Ngorongoro Crater makes it possible for you to see the greatest variety of African wildlife. During the drive, your guide will introduce you to the lifestyle and behaviors of each animal you see and answer any questions you have. [Optional: Visit the Masai village and discover how this tribe lives in harmony with the animals. See how these people live and participate with them as they share their culture with you.]
On the drive back to Arusha you will stop at the town of Karatu for lunch. Our driver will deliver you back to your hotel where you can say your goodbyes.
