After a full breakfast, it is off for a morning safari game drive. All the animals are out in the morning, searching for breakfast, so it is the perfect time for your drive. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos lining the lake shore. In addition, the lake is a central gathering spot for more than 50 species of mammals.
After this exciting morning game drive, you will head to Amboseli National Park to check into your new accommodations and have lunch. In the afternoon you will have time to rest before heading out for an evening game drive in Amboseli National Park.
Set in rolling savannah scenery, the park is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. At 5,896 meters, it is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Evening is a great time to spot these animals as they are out eating their diner before it gets dark and they retreat to the safety of their habitat. [Optional: Visit another Masai Village where you can discover the tribal culture and interact with local people. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.]
After the drive you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African dinner. After dinner there will be time where you meet other travelers and swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.
