longonot

Mount Longonot Hike

Mount Longonot gets its name from the Maasai word oloonong’ot, meaning steep ridges. Its unique feature is the thick forest that lies within the crater of the mountain. The crater rim also provides great scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley all the way to Lake Naivasha.

The hike itself starts at 7am from the main entrance and involves the climb which is strenuous. You must be in good fitness and health to take on this climb. The whole walk is only about 8–9 km long but is very steep. The round trip from the park entrance gate to the Longonot peak and back takes around 5 hours of hiking.

Hotel pick-up is approximately 6am. You will be returned to your hotel at around 4pm.

Lake magadi with Serengeti adventure safari

Lake Magadi Safari

Located 125kms (about 2 hours) from Nairobi, Lake Magadi has natural springs to its south that provides a unique attraction to many travelers. The springs bubble at around 35 degrees Celsius providing a nice spot to relax. Many like to bath in the springs as it is believed to have healing properties to the skin.

The drive to Lake Magali is amazingly beautiful as it winds through landscapes and terrains down to the Ngong hills. Activities involved include bird watching, hiking to the viewpoint of the lake, and hot springs bath. Swimming at the sports club can be arranged at an additional cost.

Hotel pick-up is approximately 8am. You will be returned to your hotel at around 7pm.

kilimanjaro-Serengeti Adventure Safari

Amboseli National Park Safari

This safari departs from Nairobi to Amboseli through the vast scenic landscape. Amboseli is known for the two Kenya Jumbo’s – the huge Elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain on the African continent and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

During the safari you will learn about the animals, their habitats, and the conservation efforts related to their ongoing care and preservation. Bring your sun protection and your camera for this “wild” adventure!

Picnic lunch will be served at the observation hill which offers birds eye view of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside of the rainy season.

Hotel pick-up is approximately 6am. You will be returned to your hotel at around 6pm.
