Enjoy a full breakfast then it is off for a morning safari game drive in Hell’s Gate National Park. Aside from all the wildlife, Hell’s Gate National Park famous for its natural geysers, star rock towers and a geothermal steam that makes it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. During the drive, your guide will introduce you to the lifestyle and behaviors of each animal you see and answer any questions you have. [Optional: This is the only park where you can walk (free) or rent a bicycle to ride as you view animals.]
After this exciting morning game drive, you will head to Amboseli National Park to check into your new accommodations and have lunch. In the afternoon you will have time to rest before heading out for an evening game drive in Amboseli National Park.
Set in rolling savannah scenery, the park is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. At 5,896 meters, it is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Evening is a great time to spot these animals as they are out eating their diner before it gets dark and they retreat to the safety of their habitat. [Optional: Visit another Masai Village where you can discover the tribal culture and interact with local people. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.]
After the drive you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African dinner. After dinner there will be time where you meet other travelers and swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.
Day 6:
After a big breakfast you will head out for a full day safari game drive. Amboseli in Masai language means “place of water”. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Vast herds of elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopards are sure to be seen.
During the drive, your guide will introduce you to the lifestyle and behaviors of each animal you see and answer any questions you have. This park offers designated areas where you will be able to enjoy a picnic lunch right out in the open. After lunch it is time to continue with the safari game drive.
After the drive you will return to your accommodation for a well-earned rest before enjoying another an authentic African dinner. After dinner there will be time where you meet other travelers and swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.
